How does CEREC work?
CEREC is a pretty simple procedure. You’ll come in to our office for a crown (the CEREC machine can also do veneers or onlays) and your teeth will be scanned by a computer. This means you don’t have to have an uncomfortable mold taken of your teeth.
After the scan is complete, a 3D-version of your crown will be created by Dr. Douglas B Ball, custom-designed to fit your mouth and look natural alongside your real teeth. Once the design is complete, the CEREC machine mills a brand-new crown out of porcelain and it’s fitted on your tooth just like a crown from a dental lab would be.
