DR. STEVEN L. PEACOCK
Born and raised in Manti, Utah, Dr. Peacock attended Snow College, Brigham Young University and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Graduating in 1973, Dr. Peacock practiced in Richfield, Utah; Orange, California; and since 1981 at the present location in Orem.
Dr. and Mrs. Peacock have two children. Both live in the Northwest. Seven Grandchildren cause frequent trips to Oregon and Washington, much to the delight of Delta Airlines and Avis Car Rental.
Continuously registered as an Adult Scouter since 1975, Dr. Peacock has attended week-long scout camp with his local troop each year since 1979. Woodbadge and Dutch Ovens have come to be meaningful and delicious additions to the whole experience.
Growing up in rural southern Utah brought a love for nature and the outdoors. In years gone by hunting, fishing and camping were big time consumers. In more recent years golf, gardening and travel have been the center of attention. The thrill of the open road on the back of a two-wheeled iron steed has become the most recent love.
"Practicing dentistry through the years has been a delight. In many cases we are providing care for the fourth generation in a family. Life is too short not to enjoy one another, and we really try to have a good experience in the office. We have a large dental family, and our association is certainly a highlight of my life."
DR. DOUGLAS B. BALL
Dr. Ball joined The Dental Center in June 2002. Though born in Fort Collins, Colorado, Dr. Ball grew up in five different states while his dad served in the United States Air Force. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Canary Islands of Spain, and is fluent in Spanish.
Graduating from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Zoology in 1999 and then he graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California in 2002.
Dr. Ball and his wife Dana were married in June of 2001. They met in San Francisco while Dana was in law school and Dr. Ball in dental school. Dana is from Salt Lake City and convinced Dr. Ball to set up practice in Utah. They now call Utah County "home" and have three kids, Dagny Owen, and Ruby.
Dr. Ball enjoys golf and running . . . . he ran the St. George marathon in 2008. Together Dr. Ball's family likes hiking, camping, travelling, and bowling. Dr. Ball is an avid Lakers and BYU fan.
"Our office is not a high pressure place, in fact, just the opposite. We work hard when we are here, but we like to have fun at the same time. I think the patients relate to our easy-going attitudes. We want to make sure we put patients at ease and follow up with top-of-the-line dental care. We are really excited about our new Cerec machine, digital x-ray equipment and in room televisions."
